Excerpt
Employees may be entitled to certain payments even after the employment has come to an end. Severance payments, compensation for restrictive covenants and the final settling of holiday allowance are all examples of payments which fall due upon or after the end of an employment relationship, and often it is crucial for an employer to have taken such payments into consideration when making the decision to terminate an employment relationship.
